Veteran Garden Memorials Activities for the year
We would like to thank our families and Veterans who attended our program on Tuesday. The students did a wonderful job signing the Pledge of Allegiance and singing for our Veterans. Congratulations to our winners for the K-2 and 3-5 Essay contests. We are very proud of Trey Kovach for winning the 1st Prize in the drawing contest.
Our 15th Annual Veterans Dinner will be on Friday, February 19th. Dinner will begin at 5:00 and the program will be from 6:00 - 7:00. Please come as the students thank you for all you have done.
When you visit our school, please take time to see our Hall of Heroes which goes from the front door down the hall to the music room door. We would like to thank all of our heroes for their sacrifice for their country.

Thank you to all of the Veterans in Citrus County for your support of our programs and for helping us to teach the students about respect, appreciation, and acknowledgement of our military personnel and Veterans who are giving so much and who have given so much to give us our freedom.
Please stop by the Veterans Garden area when you visit the school. It is on the top playground. We hope you will stop by and pause for a moment, thinking about our Veterans and our active military overseas.
We have instituted a new program to help with our Veterans programs. We will be using these funds help to support our awards for the children in November, the dinner in February and the Citizenship winner of the year in May. We are asking families and friends to join our Inverness Primary School "Patriotic Squadron". Any donation will let you join our IPS Patriotic Squadron and is greatly appreciated. However a $100.00 donation will put your name on the IPS Patriotic Squadron plaque by the Veterans Board in the hallway. If a business would like to join our IPS Squadron, they will be a "BRAVE" (Businesses Ready to Adopt Veterans Everyday) member of the IPS Squadron and your business name will be on the BRAVE plaque on the wall.
